CHANEL// PRE-FALL 2011
While I was working and searching for a few things, I ran into the FABULOUS pre-fall CHANEL collection for 2011 and I needed to share with you the moment I saw, so here it is. The new collection for the next year is full of textures, golds, blacks, metalics and a lot of details. The pre-fall 2011 collection from Chanel was themed, Paris-Byzance, after it's Byzantine inspiration found in Empress Theodora. If possible, the pre-fall season brought an even more opulent and lavish showing than spring with a heavy emphasis on gold trimmed jackets, exciting silhouettes and crystal adorned bodices. Despite the antique influence, creative director Karl Lagerfeld grounded the show with Chanel’s signature relaxed elegance, and once again I couldn't be more addicted to the collection. Karl proved to all of us that fashion is art and I never doubted that.
Enquanto estava a trabalhar e à procura de umas coisas, deparei-me com o preview da nova colecção da CHANEL para o Outono do próximo ano e devo dizer-vos que precisava mesmo de a partilhar com vocês no momento em que a vi, aqui está ela. A nova colecção para 2011 é marcada pelas texturas, os dourados, os pretos, tons metálicos e muitos detalhes. Apelidada de Paris-Byzance, inspirada pela Empress Theodora, a nova colecção trouxe um toque ainda mais imponente do que a colecção anterior, da Primavera com casacos dourados, silhuetas excitantes e adornos com cristais. Apesar da grande influência antiga, o director criativo Karl Lagerfeld deixou a sua assinatura marcada pela elegância e uma vez mais eu não poderia estar mais obcecada. Karl provou-nos a todos que a moda é arte e eu nunca duvidei disso.

Last year, when the Alice in Wonderlad fever started, a lot of brands did special editions, like Swarovski, Avril Lavigne for Kohls, O.P.I nail polishes, urban decay shadows, and a lot of photoshoots were made inspired on the Lewis Caroll novel. Paul&Joe were no exception about that Wonderland fever, and look the amazing beauty line that was made. While searching for new stuff for the blog I've found the other beauty collections from Paul& Joe and I need to say this, I'm totally obsessed with them. They're amazing, the patterns, the colors, the pigments and the whole design of them. Don't you just love different products like these ?
No ano passado, quando a febre da Alice no Pais das Maravilhas começou, muitas marcas lançaram edições especiais, como a Swarovski, a linha da Avril Lavigne para a Kohls, a marca de vernizes OPI, as sombras da Urban Decay e muitas sessões fotograficas foram feitas, inspiradas no conto de Lewis Caroll. Paul&Joe não ficaram de fora desta febre, e olhem para a linha fantástica de produtos que fizeram. Enquanto procurava por coisas novas para o blog, descobri outras colecções da linha de beleza da marca Paul&Joe e preciso de vos confessar que estou completamente obcecada. São lindos os produtos, os padrões, as cores, os pigmentos e todo o design. Não adoram produtos como estes, diferentes?

There's nothing like this color combination camel and black. I'm loving so much this mix that I couldn't resist to this sweater the moment I saw it. I was deeply in love with this, and with another white sweater from H&M with a floral pattern, totally in love with them but I decided to bring this home, since I have a closet FULL of flowers. This sweater is so perfect to use with some leggins, or with some jeans and with a cute "peter pan shirt" and I can't wait to wear this.

Não há nada como esta combinação de cores: camel e preto. Adoro esta mistura e por isso não consegui resistir à sweater no momento em que a vi. Estava completamente louca por esta e por outra branca com um padrão de flores, ambas da H&M mas decidi trazer esta para casa, visto que o meu roupeiro está CHEIO de padrões floridos. É perfeita para usar com umas leggins ou umas calças de ganga e com uma camisola de gola redonda, muito ao estilo "PeterPan", mal posso esperar por usá-la.

Well, with a new year comes a new hair cut and here are some trends for the next season, Spring and Summer 2011. I'm loving the super straight hair with fringe, the headband, the natural waves, the low ponytail .. and I really need to say this, but Olivia Palermo, (first pic girl) is such a great inspiration to me, style, make up, hair, she has EVERYTHING right? Oh and more, she's totally GORGEOUS. Do you agree with me? I hope you're having a great weekend and I wish to all of you a great Sunday.
Bem, com a chegada de um novo ano, chega muitas vezes um novo corte de cabelo e aqui ficam algumas tendências para a próxima estação Primavera/Verão 2011. Adoro o cabelo super liso com a franja, as bandoletes e fitas para o cabelo, as ondas naturais do cabelo, os rabos-de-cavalo mais abaixo do que o normal .. e preciso mesmo de vos dizer isto, a Olivia Palermo é uma grande inspiração para mim, estilo, maquilhagem, cabelo, parece que ela tem TUDO. Well, since a lot of guys been asked me some tips and some trends for them, I thought it would be a great idea to make a post and a whole area dedicated only to them. So for this season, boots are a MUST have and you can wear them with a lot of things, almost everything. Happy December to everyone. It's such a great month, I love December so much, it's my mother, father and brother birthday plus christmas and new year's eve, it's like a saint month. Yesterday, we did our christmas tree and since my mother has a interior design course, we can't decide what's right or wrong, but we always win ihih. This year our tree is full of toys and characters that we bought in NYC and Florida when we went there, since this family is crazy about United States, we decided to put a little bit of it on our tree, we also use to have a train, just like those American movies, it's so cute. So here are some of the details of the tree, nothing special and it's really rare to put red on the tree, because we're not a traditional family, we like to risk a bit and put off the beat colors. Um óptimo mês de Dezembro para todos. É um mês excelente, adoro o mês de Dezembro, a minha mãe, o meu pai e o meu irmão fazem anos, junta-se o Natal e a véspera de ano novo, é um mês sagrado para todos. Ontem fizemos a nossa árvore de Natal e como a minha mãe tem um curso de Design de interiores, não temos muita palavra sobre o que fica e não fica bem na árvore, mas ganhamos quase sempre. Este ano está cheia de personagens e bonecos que comprámos em NYC e na Florida, visto que esta família é louca pelos Estados Unidos decidimos pôr um bocadinho nela e também temos um daqueles comboios que andam à volta da árvore, como nos filmes americanos. Ficam aqui alguns detalhes da árvore, nada de especial e é raro termos a árvore vestida de vermelho porque não somos uma família muito traditional e gostamos de usar outras cores, mas este ano optámos pelo vermelho por causa dos bonecos. Como é que é a vossa árvore?

Depois de termos dado uma olhadela no look da Audrina Patridge vamos espreitar o da Demi Lovato. Esta rapariga sabe como tirar partido da fantástica pele que tem e o cabelo esticado e escadeado faz com que cada look que use fique perfeito, não acham? O estilo da Demi é muito simples, inspirado muito em estrelas de rock quando está em palco mas com um toque muito feminino ao mesmo tempo. Adoro como ela conjugou o bronzeado dela com os calções de ganga e a t-shirt branca básica, super simples. Por vezes não é preciso fazermos um grande esforço para ficarmos bonitas, um look simples conjugado com a maquilhagem certa fazem o que é preciso, por isso não se preocupem se usarem apenas uma t-shirt básica com umas calças de ganga, aliás os rapazes dizem que gostam de raparigas simples - "Menos é mais"

Oh well it's Sunday and one more week is coming, full of work and projects and I need to get some time to go to the gym, with this flu I can't do anything properly, it's terrible, oh well.. Last thursday, before my advertising class, I bought the teen vogue handbook which I was searching in a while here in Lisbon and I couldn't find it anywhere, I was thinking about ordering it at amazon actually. A lot of you asked me to show you the handbook and to talk about it and what's inside, well this book talks about a lot of stuff, how to work in fashion industry, interviews with designers, editors and a lot more.Are you curious about it? After A LOT of posts about the latest event I've been to I decided to calm down a bit and deep inside this christmas time because christmas is almost here, the streets and the stores are full of decorations, and a lot of new stuff for this time. Although the adorable stuff I can see on the stores, I can't resist to these amazing products that I asked Santa to give to me. Besides that I asked for some money, my trip to Paris need to be HUGE and I need to make a lot of shopping there, I'm really excited about that.

Actually I need to confess that I don't really know how my hair handled the whole night, I had MILLIONS of bobby pins on my hair and rubber bands, but in the end was AMAZING and I was really happy. I wore my grandmother's earrings, that I really love and only wear them in special occasion because they're very old and this amazing velvet dress that you must be so tired to see ahah.
And there's a rumour that after Lanvin, Tom Ford will be the next designer for H&M collections, want to know more? Stay tunned
